As 2021 draws to a close, our experts here at Rapp Auctions have selected some special highlights to give you a glimpse of the exquisite treasures that will be auctioned off at our next major international auction in spring 2022.

Markus Baumgartner, our watch expert is pleased to present:

Rolex_Vintage_Daytona.jpg

Vintage Rolex Daytona in stainless steel
We will be auctioning off a selection of rarities watches at the upcoming Rapp auction for Watches. One of them, a vintage stainless steel Rolex Daytona in excellent condition, is so iconic that it is regarded as the holy grail of watches and a must-have in any watch enthusiast’s Rolex collection.

Dr. Fabian Schmitz, our gemologist and mineralogist is pleased to present:

Ceylon_Saphir_Ring.jpg

Untreated 18.7 carat Ceylon sapphire ring
It is rare to even find an untreated rough sapphire of this size and quality. Polishing to correct for any colour zoning, and orientation in a way that the culet (the middle of the bottom) and the middle of the table form a perfect line of symmetry are equally sought after on the market. The perfect proportions and finish also capture the light beautifully against the deep-blue colour with a subtle violet streak. The exceptional clarity on all sides ticks off another of the 4Cs, making this a framed collector’s item oozing timeless elegance and beauty.

Timo Keppler, our numismatic expert is pleased to present:

Verdienstmedaille_Stadt_Bern.jpg

Gold medal of service from the city of Bern
We will be auctioning off a large selection of rare items at the next auction, including a ten-ducat medal of service from the city of Bern dating back to 1741. This exceptional collector’s item is extremely rare, meaning it is sure to attract a great deal of attention at the next Rapp auction for Coins, Medals and Banknotes.

Peter Rapp, our executive philatelic expert is pleased to present:

Ersttagsbrief.jpg

Rare Swiss first day cover: Pro Juventute 1918
Despite on Sundays 1918 the post offices in Switzerland normally were closed, Sunday, 1 December 1918 appears as the first day of issue on this rare cover. This exquisite historical document is of such exceptional quality that we are sure it will attract plenty of interest at the upcoming auction.

Beatrix Eijsbouts, our luxury handbag expert is pleased to present:

LV_BoiteBouteilles.jpg

Louis Vuitton Boite Bouteilles
This stunning beauty case with an exclusive interior is in excellent condition. We have no doubt that there will be great interest in this popular collector’s item at the next Rapp auction for Luxury and Designer Handbags.

Anna Corliano, our consultant specialising in porcelain, ceramics and Art Nouveau is pleased to present:

Picasso_Keramiken.jpg

Picasso ceramics
Picasso produced exceptional ceramic designs as well as paintings. The value of his cubist pottery has increased significantly over the past two years in particular. I am delighted that we will have the chance to auction off a select few of these popular Picasso ceramics in excellent condition at the upcoming auction.
