Update Regarding the Rapp Auction from 23 to 28 November 2020
The Rapp Auction from 23 to 28 November 2020 will take place with a few minor changes. Attendance and participation in the auction in person will remain possible, but with a limit of 50 people in the auction hall itself. Bids may also be submitted in advance, either in writing via post or online. Participation via telephone is also welcomed. Hundreds of customers and prospective buyers from all over the world will be taking part in the auction live at home on their computer, tablet or other mobile device.
According to the Swiss Confederation’s COVID-19 ordinance from 28 October 2020, the hall auction may still take place. However, the number of visitors present at any time may not exceed 50, excluding the employees of Rapp Auctions. We therefore hope you understand that seating in the auction hall will be prioritised for active bidders. Of course, we will ensure a distance of 1.5 metres between visitors in the auction hall. As an extra safety precaution, plexiglas barriers will also be installed.
Viewing / Presentation of the Auction Lots
Auction lot viewing will take place across several floors and in a number of rooms at Rapp Auctions. The viewing / presentation of auction lots is not considered to be an event within the meaning of the Swiss Confederation’s COVID-19 ordinance, but is rather considered as a shopping facility / exhibition space / gallery.
Safety Plan at Rapp Auctions
Rapp Auctions has developed a comprehensive safety plan. The auction house has many generously sized rooms spread across 4 floors, with a total 1,000 square metres. You can view the details of our safety concept here.
We regret informing you of these changes at such short notice, however we are required to comply with the provisions laid out by the Swiss Confederation and the canton of St. Gallen and kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.
